Spine title in gilt; some age toning to spine, crown and foot show some shelf wear, small chip to foot, small tear to outer joint. Corners lightly bumped, upper text edge gilt. Hinge cracked at front paste down, armorial bookplate to front. Some offsetting from plates, but not intrusive. good to very good Catalogue raisonne. Rare numbered copy; only 700 printed in total (including American copies). D.Y. Cameron began his career as a merchant and studied etching at the Glasgow Art School in the evenings. By 1885, he was able to focus only his art and became one of Scotland's pre-eminent engravers. 1912
