Jacket chipped at edges with creases and 2 short tears, the bottom edge of the last page has been damp resulting in a minor bleed of the bottom edge dye, also at the bottom edge and rear flap of the jacket. Although the date 1955 is the only publication date shown this is obviously not the date of this edition as there is an ISBN on the jacket and a 1978 title of Velikovsky's listed in 'other books'. Presents documentation of global catastrophes in prehistorical and historical times with evidence he claims supports his controversial theories of extra terrestrial causes for these events. Date given for the latest of these events is approx 3500 years ago.. Book Club. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 8vo.
