ESTCR6263. Pusey House is a center of Anglo-Catholic worship and Study at the University of Oxford, named after the prominent Tractarian Edward Bouverie Pusey. The Oxford (or Tractarian) Movement was a movement of High Church Anglicans, eventually developing into Anglo-Catholicism. The movement, the members of which were often associated with the University of Oxford, argued for the recovery of traditional aspects of the Christian faith, subsequently lost, and their inclusion into Anglican liturgy and theology and conceived of the Anglican Church as one of three branches of the Catholic Church. A nice copy of this scarce history of the English Reformation by a "Laudian" and controversialist against the Puritans with a notable provenance.
