Sobre este artículo

London: Collins, 1953. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good. 8" by 5.5". None. A very smart first edition of this intimate work by Rosamond Lehmann. First edition. The novel follows three characters, Rickie Masters, his wife Madeleine, and her sister Dinah. Rickie's premature death makes widows of both sisters. For many years, Dinah, exotic and sensual, has conducted a clandestine affair with Rickie; and Madeleine, calm and resolute, has accepted that her marriage has been of limited success. With extraordinary insight, Lehmann explores the sublimity and the pain of their interrelated lives. Written by Rosamond Lehmann, an English novelist and translator. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and minor rubbing to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with light chipping to the extremities and minor age toning. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
