Top edge gilt. [20.3 cm.] Near very good. Spine sun-faded and a little rubbed, some minor soiling to covers. Tight with clean interior. Engraved armorial bookplate of Evelina du Pont de Nemours on front pastedown and her signature on the front free endpaper. FIRST EDITION. The author's travels in the Balkans, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt. Russell was a prominent editor and publisher in New York.
