Good: Shows significant indications of use: light wear to the extremities; moderate rubbing and faint overall soiling to the powder blue cloth over boards; a couple of small dampstains at the outside edge of the front panel; former owner's name at the top of the front free endpaper; the endpapers have tanned heavily, the rest of the text pages are of higher quality paper and have tanned very slightly. The binding, which was loose and has been re-glued, shows slight lean; the text is clean. Overall, remains a well-wornk, but sturdy copy with a clean text. 8vo. 88pp. Liberally illustrated with photographs of children in various postures of play and movement in black & white. First Edition [1906], unstated. Hardback: Pastedown Illustration at the front panel. "Play is the hightest phase of child development." Play is the perfect co-ordination of joy and activity.".
