Sobre este artículo

London: R. H. Porter, 1895. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 4to (30 x 23 cm). 1895-1896 , 4to , i-xvi, 54 fine coloured lithograph plates drawn by the author each illustrating a number of eggs of each species. The accompanying letterpress has been neatly numbered in pencil (possibly by the publisher as we are aware of other copies paginated thus). Publisher's half maroon morocco with marbled boards and end papers, top edge gilt, the wrappers to the original four parts have been bound at rear . Binding a little rubbed, with slight chipping to the leather at the head and tail of spine, but a very presentable copy . Contents clean and tight, a little foxing and spotting but more or less confined to the text and original wrappers, more noticeable to the endpapers and first and last few pages, the upper margins of a few plates slightly marked. The book was issued in four parts between October 1895 and July 1896. Overall a very good copy of this important oological work that covers the Limicolae i.e. the plovers and sandpipers..
