In 1838 and 1839, painter David Roberts traveled throughout Egypt and across the Sinai Peninsula to Petra, Jerusalem, and Palestine. The sketches and paintings he produced during these trips roused enormous curiosity about these regions, and won Roberts fame that endures to this day. This oversized slipcased package presents 240 color plates of his original artwork in two linen-bound volumes, accompanied by commentary and extracts from his journals. The reproductions are paired with Antonio Attini's color photographs of the sites as they appear today, as well as additional paintings, sketches, and photographs, up to 20 x 14 inches. The third volume here is a concise illustrated biography of the artist.

IMPORTANT: All orders are shipped as FOB unless you have asked for an insured shipment.
No returns are accepted with the exception of misprints.All books are checked before shipping and then are packed well to prevent damages on transit. If you receive a seriously damaged parcel, contact immediately with the transporter to claim for a compensation.
If your order has not been delivered within six weeks, please contact immediately with us. Also, keep in mind that after six months it's not possible to track a parcel.
