No dustwrapper, green cloth-covered boards have water-staining, pages are very brown (poor quality Wartime paper) , some notes by a previous owner in the margins, otherwise a good tight copy of this hard-cover book. Five lectures and a sermon by the author, originally given at Northfield, Massachusetts in August 1914. The lectures are: ''Egyptian Rubbish-Heaps and the Study of the New Testament'', ''A Sheaf of Old Letters from Egypt'', ''Some Sidelights Upon Paul'', ''How We Got Our Gospels'', and ''The Fullness of the Time'' (on Galatians). The sermon is ''The New Song (on Revalations ch14 v3)''. Originally published in May 1916, this is the second edition from December 1917. Paper label on f/ep from 1921 (Primitive Methodists Local Preachers Training Movement prize for Homiletics). 143pp.... Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
