A brief history and geography of bookbinding is followed by chapters on tools, beginning work in cardboard, creating endpapers, binding of both books and magazines, and finishing techniques. The three colour plates show specimens of handmade endpapers. With 116 numbered black and white illustrations throughout and publishers advertisments at rear. Bright and clean throughout, corners bumped, slight wear to joints. Binding is printed paper covered boards. 59pp (3) pages with 3 additional leaves of printed specimens of coloured endpapers.
