Sobre este artículo

Northampton: J.H. Butler. Fair with no dust jacket. 1839. First Edition. Hardcover. 156 pp. Dedicated to the farmers of the United States and their children. An interesting look at attempts at producing silk in the US in the hopes of creating a new industry and also removing silk production from Asia. Blindstamped dark blue grey cloth with gilt to the front cover and spine. covers are generally faded and worn. Cover gilt is bright, spine gilt is gone, spine sunned. Interior very foxed, the illustrated plate is missing with a ghost of the image still appearing at the half-title. Some dampstaining and signatures showing but still holding and still quite readable. Not beautiful but quaint. Priced low to reflect condition. ; 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall .
