Slim octavo in tan cloth lettered and decorated in dark brown. 64 pp. Illusttayted with half-tone photographic plates and a map on the last page. Commemorative book issued for the completion of New York City's Holland Tunnell (named for its chief enginer Clifford Milburn Holland, who died before its completion). it was one of the first mechanically ventilated tunnels, with four free standing ventilation buildings (one of which was famously used for the entrance to the "Men in Black" headquarters0 which can refresh the interior air every 90 seconds. Near fine, small bump to one corner; neatkt repaired tear to the margin of the contents page. Issued without dust jacket.
