Sobre este artículo
Mexico City, 1897. About very good.. 247,[1];214pp. Contemporary mottled calf, spine gilt, leather label. Light wear to spine and boards; small scorch mark at fore-edge of front board. Text occasionally trimmed close. Tanned, but not brittle. Unrecorded popular Mexican edition of this French adventure story by prolific author Pierre Alexis Ponson du Terrail. The work, first published serially in France in 1869, tells the story of the magistrate of Provence town Mirabeau and his struggle against local brigands. This edition was published in the "Biblioteca Universal" series and is a good example cheap fiction being produced in Mexico at the end of the 19th century. Not in OCLC.
