McPherson was the first African-American writer to win the Pulitzer Prize for fiction and Elbow Room was his final collection of short stories. A nice copy of one of the more difficult Pulitzer Prize winning books to find in collectible condition. Very Good with toning to the gutters and pastedowns in a Very Good lightly edge-worn dust jacket showing a couple of tiny chips and a small scratch to the front panel.
