Opposing the economic policies of Martin Van Buren and the annexation of Texas and supporting the election of Edward Everett as governor and George Hull as lieutenant-governor of Massachusetts. The edges of the pastedowns, endpapers & flyleaf are darkened and there is occasional light foxing. Despite its flaws, a good, attractive copy.
