Elegy Written in a Country Church-Yard

London, UK: De La More Press. 1st. Sewn pamphlet. Good. Honor Howard-Mercer. A lovely little pamphlet in the Saint George Series published by Alexander Moring Limited. This particular edition is a hand-sewn pamphlet on heavy rag paper. The front has information about the publisher and a lovely woodcut print of a shield with the St. George emblem and three roses. The buyer of this pamphlet signed the cover with a fountain pen showing it was acquired at Glastonbury, May 22, 1928, at the Tribunal House. The pamphlet is generously illustrated with woodcuts that are both artistically accomplished and charming. Slight scuff to back cover, spine shows one thread snapped but the remaining thread holds the book together very well.
