David Gregory was a 17th-century Scottish mathematician and astronomer known for his contributions to 18th-century astronomy. While he was not as influential as Isaac Newton, Gregory was an advocate for Newton's 'Principia'. He also relied on the fame of Kepler and Newton, among other famed astronomers, for the findings in his book 'Elements of Physical and Geometrical Astronomy'. This book describes planetary and moon orbits, the behaviors of comets, the zodiac, the effects of the moon on earth's seasons, and so much more.
