Prelims plus 180pp. Quarter bound in black cloth over yellow card boards (boards strong and square, a little worn, gently rubbed at spine tips). Dusty top text block edge. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket (slightly bumped on edges). The dust jacket is now protected in an archival-quality mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. A selection of short stories, each featuring an individual and their experience of war. Leonard Cyril Deighton is a British author whose works include cookery books, history and military history, but he is best known for his spy novels, including the series featuring the unnamed Harry Palmer.
