This book was the first major and complete work on the Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen (1873-1950), the father of Eero Saarinen. In addition to the main text and general study of Eliel Saarinen's architecture, Marika Hausen has written 20 essays on the most important architectural projects. There are also secitons on his work as a townplanner and industrial designer. The book also incudes a complete catalogue of Saarinen's architectural projects (over 200).
