Sobre este artículo

London: Printed for T. Hughes., 1824. Early edition. 32mo. (14 x 9cm). Contemporary purple-brown cloth with green morocco title label lettered in gilt to the spine. Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece. 107pp. A very good copy, the binding firm with a little rubbing and marking to the boards and minor wear to the corners of the boards and tips of the spine. The contents are in very good order throughout. An attractive edition of this popular tale, first published in 1806. This was Cottin's final and most famous work, telling the story of a young woman who travels from Siberia to St. Petersburg to secure a pardon for her exiled father.
