Blue coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with a section of eight pages of contemporary black-and-white illustrations or photographs. Navy blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt facsimile signature of Queen Elizabeth I to the front board and gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Pale blue coloured tint to the top text block edge. Bumping to the backstrip and rubbing to the book edges. Very light age toning of the text block edges and of the internal text. Colour illustrated dustwrapper (wraparound) with yellow titles to the front panel and white titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and creasing to the dustwrapper edges and rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. There is a 0.25 " tear to the lower left-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panels, with associated creasing. Fading to the backstrip. There is an abrasion to the front top right-hand corner of the front panel, commensurate with the rough removal of a sticker. A book about Elizabethan England, and more particularly the life of the society from royalty down to the lower strata of society. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. X, (2), 3-293, (1) pages,. We seem to specialize in non mainstream stuff but read and stock Science-fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, history, biography and true crime, war, natural history. cooking, children's books and try to avoid current text books.We probably have the largest collection of Science Fiction, Penguins and general crime in Victoria in an open shop ( David has 8 bookcases 900mm x 2200mm of sf and f) ( Penny has 8 bookcases 1200mm x 2400 of sf and f )On shelf each shop has 30,000 plus books and we list over 30000 books online
