Relevant letter to front. Else a clean and tight copy. 27pp. With b/w plates. William Sheldon introduced tapestry making to England in the mid 16th century. The industry he established in Warwickshire produced a series of magnificent tapestries. The object of this book is to identify the surviving examples in private and public collections in England.
