xxx+334 pages. Royal octavo (9 1/4" x 6 1/4") bound in original publisher's maroon cloth with gilt lettering to spine and cover. First American edition. Ellen Terry was a prolific letter writer, famously corresponding with George Bernard Shaw for many years. Her memoirs, The Story of My Life , were published in 1908, and her correspondence with Shaw appeared as Ellen Terry and Bernard Shaw in 1931. Condition: Corners bumped, spine ends and corners moderately rubbed, spine dulled else very good.
