First printing Near fine in orange paper covered boards with bold black text on the spine and three sketches of Eloise under lamp posts on the front board. A small quarto measuring 11" by 7 1/2" with illustrated end sheets. In a very good+, unclipped ($3.75) dust jacket with a slightly tanned spine area, a 1/4" closed tear at the base of the spine area, a 1/2" closed tear at the upper edge of the rear panel which also has minor soiling. Unpaginated, but containing 36 leaves (two of which fold-out) of text and illustrations by Hillary Knight. The fourth volume in the Eloise series. A nice bright copy with no prior owner's names, markings or book plates.
