Descripción:
New York: Paragon House, 1979. First trade edition. Perfect-bound, octavo, pictorial wraps, [10], xvii, 235 pp. Very good signed book, top right corner half-title page inscription, light shelf wear and soiled edges. Carl Solomon spent many years in and out of psychiatric hospitals from the late 1940s through the mid 1960s, decrying the shams of societal values and institutions. He was a writer on the margins of all he opposed, and later in life eventually circling back to where he began with balance, becoming a devotee of his local Shul, steadying his mental state and holding a steady job as a messenger while still self-identifying as a Dostoyevsky character.
