Twelve Fables of Aesop narrated by Glenway Wescott, illustrated with 18 linoleum blocks by Antonio Frasconi, designed and printed in three colors (black, gray, and red) on Rives mould-made paper by Joseph Blumenthal at the Spiral Press, New York, from hand-set Emerson type and from the artist's original blocks. The edition is limited to 975 numbered copies and 25 lettered review copies, all signed by Mr. Frasconi, Mr. Wescott, and Mr. Blumenthal. This copy is one of the 25 lettered copies (copy number "F"). In addition to the other three signatures, it is signed by Monroe Wheeler. In 1935 Wheeler was employed by New York's Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).
