J.G. Dentu, Paris, 1812 8vo in 3/4 leather and marbled boards. Leather dried out and cracking along hinges. Spine labels largely chipped away. Leather corners missing. Heavily rubbed and abraded, but stll tight. 56 FOLD-OUT PLATES, most having to do with bridge design and construction - also some machines and techniques used in construction. IN FRENCH. This book originally belonged to Gen. Richard Delafield ( 1793-1873). He was first in his class at West Point in 1818, and went on to become, in 1864, Chief of Engineers of the Union Army.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.
