First US Edition/First Printing (no mention of subsequent printings); A Fine book in a Very Good or better dust jacket. An excellent copy of this first US edition of the now classic work, basis for the fine film starring Ralph Fiennes and Julianne Moore; although the US edition presumably followed the first UK edition, the US seems to be much more scarce in collectible condition. This copy is in fine condition with only a couple of lightly bumped corners and a slight fading to the green top-stain; housed in a very good or better crisp and clean dust jacket that shows only some light rubbing and chipping to the ends and edges, and one small piece of tape repair to the verso of the bottom front panel (invisible unless you go looking for it). Overall, a highly presentable and collectible copy of an important book; Not remaindered, not price clipped ($3.00 intact), not ex-library; in a protective Mylar cover and will ship in a sturdy box.
Sinopsis
Graham Greene (1904-1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the foreign office. His many books include The Power and the Glory , The Third Man , Our Man in Havana , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry. From the Trade Paperback edition.
