Among the pictorial records of Navajo country and life, Miss Gilpin's volume deserves a special place." First Printing of the First Edition, bound handsomely as a small quarto format hardcover. Bound in green cloth, with silver and black spine lettering and silver decoration. Pale green endpapers. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, worn along edges, price-clipped, protected by a plastic coat. Scarce in this SIGNED condition. 264 pp. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Complete with a Navaho Pronunciation Guide.
