Sobre este artículo
Macon: J.W. Burke Company, 1920. Originally published in 1919, this is "perhaps the most popular pro-slavery text in United States' history." (Joe Lockard). Edwards (1855-1938) was well-known as a journalist, novelist, and editor. Written in dialect, the story of a faithful slave uninterested in freedom had a strong appeal to the America of Jim Crow and the Ku Klux Klan. This is a Very Good copy of the First edition. Softbound, with stapled paper wraps of speckled green. Clean text; 40 pages, with a one-page publisher's advert in the rear (two volumes have had their price raised). . First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
