London: Negretti and Zambra. Good. Hardcover. 457 p. 25 cm. Square binding, with the text block a little loose in the blue, cloth-covered boards. Worn through at the corners. A couple of splits to the cloth along the spine. Light soil overall to both boards. The, the thumb-indexed fore-edge has been used by an insect (wasp?) to build a mud-based nest along the fore-edge of some of the pages, resulting in some staining and mud-remains, but all text on the tabs is pretty much still legible. There is also a previous owner's name on the title page. Otherwise, the pages are clean and unmarked. A catalogue from Negretti and Zambra Scientific Instrument Makers in London, circa 1930s or 40s. Says List E5 on the spine. It includes such instruments as airmeters, barometes, hydrometers, liquid and tank gauges, pressure gauges, thermometers, and more. Laid in is a folded stocks advertisement for the company, dated 1948, and a single fold biographical sheet of information and studio photograph of Paul Antony Negretti, dated 1960. May require extra postage due to weight of book. .
