Illustrated and annotated catalogue of 115 works, with 16 pages of text on the England of William Penn's time, including history, fine arts, architecture and decorative arts. Concentrates on Baroque England in the 17th century, during the reign of the last absolute monarch, Charles II, who provided Penn with the charter to the colony that became Pennsylvania. Superb illustrations.
