Sobre este artículo

Paris, France: Delpire & Co, 2022. First edition. First Printing. Hardcover. Fine/fine. Unpaginated. 8 1/2 x 7 1/2". Cloth over boards, stamped spine and stamped boards, front and verso. A collection of Parr's color photographs (taken mostly from 2006 - 2018) and Cartier-Bresson's black and white photos (which were taken in 1962). Book is unmarked, unclipped tight and bright. Parr has signed on a tipped-in page. From the publisher: "Each book has both the English and the French cover. Les Anglais serves as the front cover to the Cartier-Bresson side of the book while The English serves as front cover to the Parr side of the collection. This is a two-way book."
"The interest of this book is to qualify these divergences of point of view which, according to Henri Cartier-Bresson, belong to "two different solar systems". The previously unknown photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson to be discovered there resonate in a disturbing way with those made by Martin Parr, more than 20 years apart in the same region of northern England."
"At the centre of the book, facing one another, are the fax from Henri Cartier-Bresson who acknowledges having made a judgment and the response from Martin Parr.
