Hardback, 1928, first edition, published by Seeley, Service & Co. Limited, London, 318 pages, plus catalogue of other titles by the same publisher at rear.
Measures around 6" by 8.75". Purple cloth boards and spine, gilt lettering to spine and pulpit design to front board. Considerable fading to spine though title still visible. Boards are a bit scuffed and quite discoloured marked but have retained some of their colouring. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. Corners bumped and slightly torn. Binding firm. Page edges browned and a bit foxed. Foxing to endpapers and in patches throughout the book. A little pen underlining to a couple of pages but otherwise page surfaces are free of underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
