Sobre este artículo

n.p., 1992. Hardcover. Fair and Near Fine. Scrapbook photo albums of two prominent English families - the Bonham-Carter family (Henry Bonham-Carter and Florence Nightingale had the same Grandfather) and the Baker family, featuring the distinguished Air Marshal Sir John W. Baker. Hilary Bonham-Carter and Air Marshal Sir John W. Baker were married in 1927, so it's logical that these albums are together. The Bonham-Carter album has "H. [Hilary] M. Bonham-Carter / Book 2 / April 1924" written on the front pastedown and consists of 16 folio leaves (14" tall x10" wide) containing 80 photos - one being a 9.5"x17.5" fold-out group photo, 8 postcards, c. 20 newspaper clippings and c. 12 menus and programs. The Baker album has 18 oblong 4to leaves (10"x 12.5") containing 107 photos of various sizes and 9 pieces of ephemera/memorials. The Bonham-Carter album binding is broken and in poor condition with the occasional blank spot on it's toned and brittle pages - all interior content is about very good and thus fair overall. The Baker album and it's content are all in near fine condition. Also included is a photocopy of an exhibition catalogue published by the Florence Nightingale Museum "A Life of Henry Bonham-Carter : The new exhibition brings to light the historical links between Florence Nightingale and the well known Bonham-Carter family." from the front cover ; a 30 page photocopy of "Reminiscences" by Sibella Bonham-Carter 1899-2005 and a short wiki bio of the famous English actress Helena Bonham-Carter. An intimate glimpse at these two storied English families.
