Published by Macmillan and Co., London, 1905. 8.75'' x 12'', 696 pages.The book is in very good overall condition. Half-bound in leather over cloth boards. Wear and some soiling to the covers, with bumping and scuffing to the corners. Shelf wear and significant chipping to the top of the spine, exposing the textblock underneath. Library sticker on the front inside cover. Tissue paper in between the title page and an illustration is intact. Some pencil markings in the margins of the text. The binding is largely sound. The text block is largely clean with light foxing on some pages. Illustrations are included throughout the book, both of the specific marks of the goldsmiths listed and of some of the products.
