Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Previous owner's pen and pencil inscriptions to both free end-papers and rear paste-down. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Visible netting at rear board, front board feels loose. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Mild crushing to spine ends. Minor fraying to cloth at spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Damp staining to both boards.
