Sobre este artículo
Macmillan & Co. Ltd, 1951. Very Good. 8vo, 22cm, pp. ix, 245. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Head and tail sun-faded. Vertical toned band to half-title. Dust Jacket in Brodart - minor foxing and sunning, with a chip to the head, but still very good for age. A clean, tight copy. Rowse was an outspoken and popular expert on Elizabethan England, a poet and a biographer. Here, he sought to see important literary figures 'through the places where they lived or which their lives touched, and the places through them and their eyes'. (Preface).
