London: Edward Moxon and Co, 1864. Leather. Very Good. 6.5" by 4.5". None. A leatherbound copy of Enoch Arden, etc Alfred Tennyson's 1864 collection of poems. Tennyson (1809 - 1892) became Poet Laureate under Queen Victoria and found fame as one of the most popular English poets, even to this day. Aside from 'Enoch Arden', the collection includes 'The Flower', 'A Welcome to Alexandria' and 'Northern Farmer'. The first edition. In a full tan calf binding with gilt lettering and design to the spine. All edges marbled. Externally, smart with some small loss of leather to the front board. With edgewear, some markings to the boards and rubbing to the joints. Armorial bookplate to the pastedown with spotting to the endpapers. Internally, smart with pencil annotations throughout and a tidemark from pages 65 to 129. Otherwise pages and clean and bright. Firmly bound. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
