Sobre este artículo
Navigator on the "Enola Gay", the plane that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, August 6, 1945. Signed book, "Secret" by Wesley W. Stout, 67 pages with illustrations. Van Kirk writes in his hand on the inside title page: " pages 51. 'Two dozen [referring to the Enola Gay crew] who suffered no scratch had killed or injured some 300,000 Japanese. In the whole war, our dead and missing exclusive of disease and rare area accident was only 225,000. But had we not dropped the bomb it could have been much greater as a result of the invasion of Japan and/or continued bombing. - Pg. 45 - The first sentence is a mistake. It was not 'The Great Artiste' that dropped the second bomb, but another B-29 'Bock's Car'. The Great Artiste has instruments installed for and after the Hiroshima mission so Sweeny and Brock traded airplanes."
Signed, "Theodore J. 'Dutch' Van Kirk Navigator - Enola Gay 6 Aug 1945". The book is in excellent condition.
