II: ix, 499, 7 pages. Volume I is a 1968 printing; volume II, 1980. In these 2 volumes (along with a companion work, On the Causes of Plants), the Greek philosopher Theophrastus of Eresus produced the most important botanical work of both the Ancient World and the Middle Ages. Both books are in almost as-new condition. The clean and bright dust jackets have some minor edgewear, with a hint of fraying at head os spine of one dj.. Reprints. Hardcover.
