Original navy blue hardcover with silver lettering spine. The book has 290 pages, 32 b/w photos, 21 maps, sketches, glossary, bibliography, index. The book is in fine condition in original flawless DJ. No previous owner marks or writing on any pages. The book has never been read; it was purchased new by us directly from the publisher and later signed by Steele at one of his lectures. Winner of the 1998 Boardman-Tasker award for best mountain literature. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
