Sobre este artículo

London: Collins; Bodley Head , 1953-67. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Good. 8" by 5"; 7.5" by 5". None. Three first edition novels by Rex Warner including his biography of Caesar, in their original dust wrappers. The first edition to all. Three volumes. In the publisher's original cloth with the original clipped dust wrapper to all but 'Caesar' which is unclipped. This set features a collection of novels by English classicist, writer and translator Rex Warner. This set includes; 'Escapade', a tale about an English village full of unique and eccentric inhabitants and the events that take place one summer's day,'The Converts', a novel depicting the life of St Augustine during fourth century Rome and Milan. 'Imperial Caesar' is the second in a series depicting the life of Julius Caesar, told as a first person autobiography by Caesar himself,  In the publisher's original cloth with the original clipped dust wrapper to all but 'Caesar' which is unclipped. Externally lovely to 'Converts', excellent to 'Caesar' with slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and very light offsetting and spotting to the endpapers and very smart to 'Escapade' with fading to the spine, minor marks to the boards and spine and very light offsetting to the endpapers. The wraps are generally smart with sunning to the spine to all but 'Caesar', slight marks, light creasing to the extremities and creasing to the rear to 'Caesar' and Escapades'. Professional archival tape repairs to the head and tail of the verso to 'Caesar' and 'Converts' with remnants of adhesive to the right flyleaf of 'Escapade', light spotting to 'Caesar' and the odd spot to 'Converts'. Spotting to the top edges. Very Good Indeed
