The interior paper is fresh, but the front and rear end papers have tanned. The dark blue covers are also in very good condition, with just a bit of light wear at tips and corners. The silver gilt spine lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, and again shows very light wear . The rear panel has darkened. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: Left in London for their holidays, the four Lorrimers -- Robert, fourteen-and-a-half, Sally, thirteen, and the nine-and-a-half year-old twins -- find their prospects bleak until they combine their savings to buy the Esmeralda, a fouteen foot sailing boat. Esmeralda lets them go on exploring trips along the Thames, establish a base camp on an island, and even solve a mystery.
