Xv, 342 pp. Engraved portrait frontis, folding map, 3 plates (1 folding) (possibly after G. B. Borra) , title vignette and tail piece engraved by Bartolozzi. Lacking the half title. The section on the Troade has a half title page but pagination is continuous. Large quarto in contemporary calf with gilt rulling. Both boards detached, corners rubbed and worn, floriated gilt spine is chipped top and bottom and spine label is gone. Interior end papers are aged darkened, owner name on inside front board, and a different owner name stamped on title page. Some offsetting to plates and vignettes, occasional foxing and a few very minor stains, otherwise clean and unmarked. A faint mellow smell of old pipe. The first edition containing the Comparative View of the Troade. ESTCT137529; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 342 pages .
