Four delicately etched landscapes with calendar accompaniment, printed on tinted etching paper, four panels folded accordian style 4-3/4" square, within handmade covers, pastedown year surrounded by moon cycle motif, wax seal and ribbon. Canby, active 1874-1903, of of the American Women of the Etching Revival, Member of the Women Etchers of America, listed in Annual Report for the Year (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston)Vol. 12, Dec. 31, 1887; Listed in Official catalogue of World's Columbian Exposition, 1893; included in the catalog of etching proofs exhibited at the National Academy of Design, New York City, 1891She resided at 1420 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, later moved to San Francisco.
