London: Macmillan and Co., 1876. New Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Bound in brown cloth with gilt illustratoins on black background on the front and the spine. Some rubbing, some light wear at corners and spine ends but remaining neat and robust. Gilt along top closed page edge, other edges a little browned. Hinge and text block sound. No book plates or inscriptions. Pages smooth and clean. 12 plates as issued, beautiful etching plates each with a printed (descriptive) tissue-guard. These plates have a few spots to the outer edges (different paper to the text pages). An attractive book. May incur additional postage charges overseas.
