This book had an influence upon Ghandi, who published a summary in 1907. Mackintire, (1853-1931), was an American philosopher and lecturer of the Ethical Culture Society in Chicago. With an Introduction by Stanton Coit, (1857-1944), who was an American leader in the Ethical Culture movement. Ethical Societies came into existence and developed under the Darwinian method of viewing human events. Issued as Number 9 in the 'Extra Series' of the Rationalist Press Association. Some age tanning to covers and edges of pages; else a very good copy of the SCARCE British first edition. NO inscriptions, underlining or highlighting.. First British Edition. Paperback. Very Good.
