The head of the spine is chipped & there is slight wear to the tail of the spine and corners. 250 pages and 1 ad. The hinges are starting to crack. The endpapers and pastedowns are slightly soiled and there is a previous owner's name penned on the front blank. A good copy. <p>First American edition of these informal lectures on the subject of ethics which Ruskin had the opportunity to deliver, within the give and take of answering questions, at a girls' school in the country. Ruskin playfully alludes to mineralogy as a means of linking together the diverse themes.
