Sobre este artículo
Montreal: Dawson Brothers, 1866. HB. Three-quarter red leather over marbled boards, gilt lettering with five raised bands on spine, 8vo, 160 pp., marbled endpapers, TEG. Cuoq (1821-1898) was a Catholic missionary at Lac-des-Deux-Montagnes where he studied the Algonquin and Iroquois languages. This is his classic work which includes commentaries on the works of Schoolcraft and Duponceau. The "Par N. O." on the title page is in reference to his Indian name. Several lines of annotations on ffep, no other marks in book, binding tight. Ffep partially detached but holding. Small historical society label bottom of front paste-down. Covers show some scuffing and edge wear, small sticker bottom of spine. Book condition VG. Text in French.
